Usb and Aux will only recognize 30 pin Y cable
I have a 2011 Countryman, without mini connected. I've been using an old iPod with the original Y cable, for the last 4 years. But I really want to use my iPhone 6. I tried the 30 pin to lightning adapter, it didn't work. (I tried this several years ago with my iPhone 5) Bought the REALLY expensive new Y cable, that didn't work. (Confirmed it was the right cable for my none mini connected car) After searching the forms, I decided to just go to Tune2air. So I got the 3000, which has the usb and aux as apart of it (instead of just an adapter that fit on the old y cable,) and that didn't work. It seems like I have a bad usb/aux module, but why would it continue to work with the old y cable. Any suggestions?

It's really frustrating to drive a car that's only 2 years old that my only option for music is an iPod a few generations behind, or a 3.5mm jack. The only fix is a $100 part that might not even work and reportedly doesn't sound good when it does work. The 30pin to lightning adapter did work, but the audio quality was horrendous.
My 1999 Civic was less of a PITA to get music though. $100 head unit can handle USB audio, why the hell does the $25k car not?
