Turbo failure at 70K
Had check engine light diagnosed this week on a '12 CMS and dealer indicates its the beginning of turbo failure. $3,400 to repair/replace. Mini corp is offering goodwill that puts my out of pocket around $1,000 given that I just put $1,500 into a new water pump and thermostat and that my first CMS was a lemon that they purchased back. Thinking of moving on from Mini. Anyone else have early turbo failure ?

We've seen plenty of failed turbos on these cars, a lot of it comes from people following the dealer oil schedule. The cars we see every 5k miles for an oil service, that still have oil in them when they get here are still running great with no turbo issues.
Aside from that, what codes did they give you to assert such repairs? There isn't really a "turbo failure" code.
