The 2006 route has been changed a little from the 2005 route and will include about 20 miles more miles of Delta driving, ending with dinner at Foster's Bighorn in Rio Vista, CA. (Menu).

If you missed the run last year, you truly missed a remarkable tour of the Delta, and you will not want to miss the 2006 Delta Run. Please RSVP on the Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiasts' events calendar. Refer to the REME MegaBBS forum for additional information as it becomes available.

Come with a tank full of gas, camera, and two-way radio set at channel 7-21. Please review REME Run Etiquette if this is your first REME run.

 

This is not a fast run, but a slower paced beautiful run through the Delta with a few ferry crossings, good food and good company. This will make a great first run for our newer members or for those a little scared at pushing their new MINIs. You won't want to miss this event.

well it looks like rain in the forecast for the next 10 days, hehehehe what else is new?

The good news is (knock on wood) that the forcast for Saturday is the best in the next 10 days, with only a 30% chance of showers.

This Run is going to happen (unless posted differently on Friday), so please RSVP on the REME MegaBBS if you haven't already. It looks like we will have between 20 to 30 cars if the weather holds out.

 

weather reports are now showing Saturday as being the nicest day of the week mostly cloudy (with on 10-20% chance of any precipitation). It should be a great day on the Delta (continue knocking on wood).

 

For those of us living in the North Bay area.... we will be meeting at Starbuck's (the old Burger King) at 860 Hopper Ave, Santa Rosa at 7:15am to leave promptly at 7:30am so that we can meet the rest of the group in Vacaville at 9am.

It looks like tomorrow may have a few scattered showers, but little or no rain today.

 

What a beautiful day at the Delta! Not even a drop of rain all day! Those of you that got scared off because of the threat of rain really missed out! It was admittedly slow paced but that was because we had two restaurants we wanted to incorporate into the run. Next months run through the Santa Cruz Mountains is guaranteed to be faster paced through the twisties. We had 15 REME cars, 1 NorCal, and one soon-to-be REME member that joined us enroute. I liked the slow pace since I was the passenger for this run.
