Sid,

Sorry about loosing track of your PM. Just found it now. To be quite honest I have no experience with that at all so I can't be of any help. At this point I can't even remember the shift pattern of a Mini let alone more techy stuff

Another pic of the rear of the car. Still lots to do here, but I think the hard stuff is mostly done now.

Greg

Good to see the car is coming along. I know you can't wait to get it on the track to start the set up process. Keep things moving ahead and get that beast on the track.

See you at LRP for the Grand Am ?????

Thanks Michael. Should be getting more pics up this week. Really humping!

Mark, that's also. And yes, meb and I just talked today and both plan to be there.

Please tell me the Fram filter is only for mock up, and you're switching to a higher quality filter before the car is on the track.

beauty! I have great faith in the Fram HP-1, cut it apart after several races and it is a wonderful product.

That filter in the pic doesn't look like it will hold two quarts. Give me the Fram number, i'll find you a REAL two quart filter to spin on there.

Looks great Greg! I would love a Fram type oil filter on my MINI...

We've seen bits and pieces of your MINI the last several months, and I'm really looking-forward seeing the entirety of your hard work! Sounds like you are getting close...

That's the PS pump just below it, so compare the size to that and you can see how big it is.
If your buying, then I'll send you the numbers ...

See you and meb at the GA.

I sense a bit of a "spring in your step".... the weather must be good and the tracks calling !!!!

Good to hear you are on the home streach.

Greg, things look like they are moving along pretty well to me! I love the triangulation of the cage through the firewall At some point, I'd love to see all that you have custom fabricated for your MINI... Thanks again for sharing what you can though.

Not sure what I "Haven't" custom fabricated Tony ..

The header is just a Supersprint. I have that and also a Minimania header, but I think this one is a bit better. Exhaust will be quite different.

Still working on the kicker... LOL. It's something that my helpers don't really want me to do, but I'm really thinking I will.

Gear shift is my own design. It's a bit rough, but I designed and built every piece but for the hiems. It's extremely adjustable in all ratios. Still need to get the new cables.

Motor is basically 'bolted' to the chassis and helps in the stiffening of the car. It's going to be quite noisy for sure.

Car is really advancing. Finally think I have a solution for shocks. JRZs are on their way and should be here in a week or so. Big hit on the the checkbook, but I've been very lucky so far being that I am doing most all of the work myself.
I'll post pics in the next few days.

Few more pics. Though they may look like the same-ol same-old, a lot of work have been done. Feeling good and moving along quickly now..

When people ask how much I am doing to the car, I let them know that I've even built my own gas pedal ...

Insulated the exhaust tunel..

Top still off. Here is a looking down shot of the helm..

Small grey box is battery box ...

Fuel regulator and filter..

Laying out the exhaust..

Greg, I know some have alluded to the amount of time you've taken... but after seeing what you have done, and continue to do, it is so well-understood!

Now that you are seeing light at the end of the tunnel, do you have a realistic date when you think she'll be ready for spin around LRP?
