Koni FSD
They have these on sale. Would they be any good for Autocross? I mean my stockers have 116k miles on them so I'm sure anything would be better.

yes, and i dont know. i gave the vendor my vin first, and then they gave me the correct springs.
the spring rates are different based on the options you have, sunroof, trans etc. no one will REALLY care unless you win at nats, but if u got stiffer springs than you're options allow, you technically won't be legal.

Oh that makes sense. I bought them off of a seller on the forums so I'm not sure how to check that. I guess I could attempt to contact the dealer to see what the correct part number would be.
I'm not going to be setting any records anytime soon so if I get around to installing them this season I don't think many people would mind.

The springs have paint marks on them if I recall....I indicates spring rates....
Using the wrong sprigs for a given cars weight may result in an overly harsh ride....but to be honest, aftermarket units just have an "average" spring rate for all options....so you might not notice the difference unless you are an elite driver...

It appears he may have bought the JCW springs taken off of a coupe. It was quite awhile before those were available so I don't think there is much chance they will be correct for a hardtop even though the total weights were within 20 pounds. I can't believe there is enough difference in the spring rates to matter but BMW obviously does. Last time I looked there were no JCW springs available for a roadster.
I do know this: The sport suspension on my 2010 hardtop was the most beautifully balanced factory setup I have ever autocrossed so maybe the correct springs do matter.
