Was the scale off? H Stock weight
I weighed our MINI after the SEDiv event in Dothan yesterday....in HS trim with 15" holes, 205/50R15 V710s, less than 1/4 tank (but no light on), little windshield washer fluid, no floormats, no spare tire/tools, our MINI weighed in at 2375. Is this right, or was the official scale suspect?

I bought a set of Longacre corner scales last year, and just took delivery of my HS Mini Cooper three weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to weigh it yet. As soon as I run the current tank of gas down, I'll weigh it in autocross trim and see if my scales agrees with the ones you had your MC on. My Mini is very similarly equipped to yours from the way it sounds, except I also have heated seats, the chrono package, and fog lights, none of which should add significant weight to the car (maybe 8-10 lbs total?). I have 710's on a set of 15" holes too, so it should be close.

Per, not sure about the newer ones, but that's exactly what Marshall Cone's (my '02 Pro car) weighed, which was exactly 100lbs less than my '02 Cooper S that year. Plus, you have exactly the same options that he does.
Also, my '05 Cooper S is almost the same as my '02.
So no, I don't think the scale is off, at least not by a major amount (maybe a few pounds at worst).

My 02' had the sport suspension and cruise options only plus trailer hitch and weighed 2460 at 02' Peru NT. My 05' with HID lights, SS+, cruise, chrome, winter package, lit doorsills, sport exhaust, fog lights, leather sport seats, HK stereo weighs 2476 at 05' Nats Topeka.
Must be the lights and heated seats, washer fluid sprayers, mirrors and the lit doorsills that add all the extra weight.

Yeah it's heavy but it sure is nice on the street. I just turned 1500 miles on it this past weekend with a trip to Miller Park. It did have a winning pedigree though. Trophied at every National event it's attended, Toledo, Peru and now Topeka. Toledo was totally unexpected. 51 miles on it and after 53 miles I was leading. It still had the original gas from the dealer and nothing done to it. I threw on my set of old A3S03's and a harness.

I finally had a chance to throw my Mini Cooper on the scales last night, and in race trim, it came to 2380 lbs with the 15" holey wheels. This was on my 2005 MC with Sport suspension +, sport seats, multi-function steering wheel, chrono/gauge package, heated seats, and fog lights. The car had roughly 1/8 tank of gas, no spare or tools, and it had the floor mats removed. About the only place I can figure out to save weight (besides a diet) is on the exhaust. 2" or 2 1/4" piping going back from the cat to a Supertrapp should take another 10-15 lbs off the car.
