Tire rotation

I have two questions for those of you who run dedicated wheels/tires for autocrossing. We corded the Hoosiers (front) we purchased in January this past weekend, after 7 events, two drivers, mostly 4 runs each, all on asphalt. We generally rotate the tires front/back after each event, and those on the rear still look OK. We are buying two more Hoosiers and are considering fliping the rears on the wheel to get a few more runs. My questions are: Is regularly rotating the tires front/back a good idea? Is fliping the tires on the wheel, say, halfway through the season worth the cost? If at all possible, we would like to get a season (for us, 10 events) out of our Hoosiers without significantly sacrificing performance. Thanks for any input you may have.

With careful management (including dismounting and flipping the tires inside-to-out ~ 1/2 way thru the season) you should be able to get 10 asphalt events of ~ 8 runs total on a single set of Hoosiers without cording. After 6 or 7 events, however, you may notice the grip starting to go off even though you still have good tread depth due to the number of heat-cycles the tires have experienced.
