Stock-class legal harness bar?

Has anyone come up with a stock class legal harness bar for a MINI? Anyone submit the HardBar version to the SEB for clarification?

Per,

Solo Rule Book section 13.2 G&H seem to be clear enough. Why would a harness bar need to be reviewed by the SEB if they will allow multipoint roll bars and cages.

Most roll bars and cages have more diagonal bracing and structural impact than the dedicated harness bars I have seen. Does the "HardBar" have something special that could be perceived as skirting the rules?

Because the Hardbar requires the cutting of a trim panel for installation.

OK.

Another question. If I was to add a roll bar that did not require cutting trim other than bolt holes through carpet, but..... the rear seats had to stay folded down in the factory installed position and could not be raised. That would be acceptable?

Yes. The cage must meet the construction requirements (tubing thickness, diagonal bracing, etc), but there is no requirement for the rear seats to be functional. I would think that any cage or roll bar that had any hope of being functional would impair the use of the rear seats in a MINI.

I know nothing about the rules, but there's another harness bar available...

Helix has it listed on their website. That's all I know about it, though.

That looks legal to me. bulky, but legal. I wonder how much it is.
