Drivetrain Forge Motorsports FMIC

Forge Motorsports FMIC
I am running the Forge. (This is the first installed unit in the US that myself or WayMotorWorks knows about) Absolutely love it. No pressure drop, no heat soak, and you can really feel the difference with subsequent pulls. One of the funny issues I'm running into is that it runs so cool I tend to be under the 160 mark for the JB4 Stage 2 to run and have to do a couple of quick pulls to get to temp haha.

Looks very good. Stealthy too. Always been a big fan of Forge products because of their quality and performance.

Nice! Yes, the black FMIC are very stealthy and can be missed sometimes if you don't take a close look at it. That logo will definitely help it stand out. Did you just use paint or actually have it powder coated?

Great, so it'll definitely stand up well. Do you have more modding plans for it?

Next is a JCW brake upgrade. Then some track days, narrow down any weak spots. I know I'll need rear aero at some point, the rear lifts at speed pretty bad. There isn't a lot left that I haven't done haha! I'm in talks with a couple of companies about camber plates - stock plus the control arm bushings maxes you at -1.4/5 and it needs more.

2) edited: i know that the oil temp has to be @ 160 for the JB4 to kick in....how is the IC affecting that?

1) save the money on the BBK, just start with some better pads and tires and then take it from there. kills the fun of upgrading. i just did a track day and my stock calipers did fine on carbotech xp8's...it was my tires giving way...those are getting replaced and then after the next track event i'll see what else i need to do....(edit: just a personal opinion...after my track event i realized that i'm not ready for a BBK just yet)

From your website, this intercooler does not fit the JCW, and on forge's website, I did not see a listing for one, any input if there will be an upgraded intercooler for the JCW? Not sure what differences there are between the Cooper S and JCW intercooler. I just know there is a small side radiator on the L/H front in my JCW and not on the Cooper S.

Note to all - until more comprehensive tuning options are out avoid lower temperature thermostats. The ECU doesn't know how to handle it, and that lead to really weird cruise temps and issues with the JB4. I swapped back to stock thermostat and all is well again. This is a really weird issue, as I have run a colder tstat in basically every car I have ever owned, from a 2015 SRT challenger to a Miata and never run into an issue.

Sorry but an intercooler has ZERO to do with coolant and oil temps. Keeps your intake air temps down yes...but no effect on coolant temps, that's what the radiator behind it does lol

Finally i see someone running ethanol. either that or i cant search for crap. I have mine ready with the JB4 and FF wire, but not sure what mixture to run(and i need to run the tank low). what mixture are you running?
Can you tell me what your JB4 is set at?
any rough running?
Do you know what your intake temps are under heavy throttle?
any info's appreciated, also if anyone has any links to ethanol in F56's

Can you please share with us your first impression after installing this Forge IC? I am thinking of ordering it for my F56 especially that I drive it in a hot climate area (I would say Texas like weather)...
