Mine finally moved to "At the Vehicles Distribution Center". *Fingers crossed* maybe next week!
Man mine is still on the ship..... My build was complete on 6/27 and it shipped on 7/11 and should be at the port on 8/5. After the VDC is done with the car it will have 3 day transit to the dealership. I am thinking 3rd week of August..... My '16 JCW is a late bloomer......
Just ordered 2017 JCW hardtop, black on black on black with almost every option. Production week 36. Can't wait. It seems like last time I ordered (2011), tracking was much easier. Is the tracking of orders not as good as it used to be?
After driving this car twice now, I'm pretty pissed about the armrest :-/ I didn't want this stupid thing, and it's in the way wherever I put it. As low as it goes, it isn't too irritating...but as soon as I pull the e-brake it winds up back in the way. If I flip it up, I can't reach my kid in the back seat. What a stupid, stupid, stupid thing to ruin an otherwise perfect experience.
I'll have a chance to put some rain miles on them the next few days, but the Hankook S1 evo2 tires don't seem to be too bad so far. Hankook wouldn't be my first choice, but they seem to be a modern model.

If it's the center arm rest you are not happy with, then remove it. It is an option to have it, so it will not look weird without it or cause any issues.
I even saw a post about how to remove it.

It is not an option in the 2017s. Not for the JCW at least. It seems there's no visual boost without armrest combo, and visual boost is there by default. There's a European console with the iDrive controls and no armrest, but I've not had any luck getting one so far.
You can just remove it, but it leaves an ugly hole. I contacted MINI about it, and my dealership per their advice. Hopefully there's some attainable way to get rid of it.

Not an option for US MY2017 MINIs. Since Visual Boost is now standard and the armrest comes with Visual Boost - ALL MINIs will have the armrest now.
That being said, at least for now, it should be possible to remove, though I wouldn't expect the dealer to do it for you. You would have to buy the parts for a non-armrest F55/F56. The good news is that since the snap-in adapter is no longer equipped, there shouldn't be any wiring to the armrest to worry about.

Just realized it may NOT actually be possible as the part for the non-armrest equipped MINIs don't have a cut out for the iDrive controller....

I contacted MINI about the annoyance with it, and they directed me to the dealership service department for a removal solution. I'm waiting to hear back from them on it. Thete are definitely cars in Europe set up with visual boost and no arm rest, but I've had no luck so far sourcing one from there.
And someone already broke it. Glass everywhere and all sorts of chips and scratches in the paint.
Landscaper that did it seems to have a glass company on retainer, but I'm getting the runaround on a body shop. :/. Haven't even had it 2 weeks. How disappointing!!!

At least it wasn't a break-in and it's not going to come out of your pocket-- still...

Oh No :( Then this happens. I had a window break on the side, just make sure they vaccum the inside door and al the seats really good. Then use a lint roller ( Tape version ) to get all the fine glass.
