JCW Pro Diffuser?

Hey guys,

Thinking of putting a JCW Pro Diffuser on my carbon edition, but with a twist. Instead of just the regular diffuser that is sold, thinking of modifying it to look like this example. Thoughts? How exactly would I go about getting the diffuser red? Diffuser should fit the Carbon edition correct? Costs? Should I order it through my dealer or buy from somewhere else?

Thanks!

Those look more like stuck on bumper guards than a diffuser.

Buy the JCW Pro rear diffuser and have it painted like the picture. Easy

Buy. Have painted.

It looks kinda weird painted like that though, in my opinion. Like some type of bumper guard that taxi drivers in NYC have on their cars. Looks less integrated and less part of the car, and just some weird plastic bits attached.

IMO this is what a diffuser is supposed to look like. And it actually serves a purpose.

Sadly, no. If someone came out with one like the GP2 I might consider it.

I agree.....the only part of the F56 rear diffuser I like is the side splitters that compliment the front pro splitters! I hate piecemeal add-ons! The splitters should be standard on the JCW imo.

Echo that. Definitely the easiest route to go. I really like those red accents

I have a midnite black 2013 JCW with a GP2 diffuser that I trimmed just the edges with red 1/4" pinstripe and other than the Batmobile effect every likes the look.
If it was unpleasant you just peel it off and you're only out $5 and 10 mins of your time.
If you want to paint get a rattle can of Krylon safety red#2328 as it duplicates chilli red perfectly for around $4 from wally world.

I haven't had great luck with the combined primer & paint spray cans! I prefer the separate primer personally, but Krylon is excellent paint & I agree about that color of red! I sprayed the anti-sway bars on one of my other cars with that color & it looks great!

If you like the look, buy it. But that is not a diffuser. It's a JCW rear body kit. And the "JCW front splitter" is not a splitter.

I got them, and I think they look great on my JCW. That's all that matters to me. Every time I park it, I always take a quick couple of looks over my shoulder when I walk away.

I think the previous Gen front splitters look much better than the current offering side splitters....you're correct they aren't really a front splitter. But, I think MINI did a pretty good job coming up with "something" since the F56 front end is much more aggressive looking than previous gens! It's hard to design in everything with a model change. On the JCW especially, it's not just for looks but functional (re: front end design features) so that's alright with me.

Think it complete the back end. First saw it painted red back on the prototype JCW @ NAIAS.
