Honderpilot. I'm running 18x8 et 50 kwV3 no spacers and I only rub with really hard turn. Or when I Hit a bump and super fast speed. I m not lowered all the way but i think I'm flush. Rear could use a 5-10 mm spacer to flush out. I am however 2-3 mm away from my strut. The 7.5 width could bring you closer to your suspension which mean spacers.
Actually you might be right in the middle from my setup. 6.3mm more from strut and 6.3mm from the outside of my setup. Worse case you use spacers, to either get the look you want or to clear BBK down the line.

Ok awesome. Thank you! Won't the 7.5 keep me a little bit further away from the strut and an 8 or do I have that mixed up? I'm not too concerned with the BBK because after wheels I don't think it'll be in the budget for a very long time 😂
I'm looking into these O.Z. Formula HLTs and you can buy the "center locking cap" to cover the bolts and I think it adds to the aesthetic appeal (are not functional). My friend brought up the point that they will eventually fall off/would be easy to get stolen. I'm not sure how they attach to the wheel and I was hoping someone could offer insight on this/an opinion.
Anyone happen to have a pic of Gunmetalic RSe05 wheels on a white silver car? They seem like my beat bet, but I'm not sure how a dark color like that will look against the light color paint.

I have the gunmetal 12's on my car.I way prefer them to my black winter rims. I've posted pics at some point.
Just installed some Motegis and Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The wheels are the same size, but much lighter, and with a 45mm offset. Tires are 225/45/17. The wheels weigh about 16lbs vs stock 21.5lbs for the stock Cosmos wheels, but my tires are slightly heavier than the Continental non-runflats I had before. All in all, I saved about 14lbs total in unsprung weight from the car.
They're definitely a step up in terms of both grip and ride comfort. I'm still exploring the setup a bit since it feels so different - I'm not sure if I feel some squirreliness in tight corners from the extra sidewall or not.

Hmm, Motegi's site now includes 2017 and JCW models. It says the 17" Traklight will fit. I ordered one to test fit it.

2) would you use this as a track tire? is 7" wide enough for track usage? what tire would you put on that. 205's i imagine as you wouldn't want too much flex on the sidewall. again,assuming you want to go track for this..
edit: 17x7 ET 45 as well as 17x8 ET 40...i'd prefer the 8" wide as i can go 215 and be flat with the sidewall (presumably this is just a track wheel for me)
Nah, no track bits for this car. The best it'll probably ever see is a track day with friends once or twice, and probably not even that. These will be my summer wheels, assuming they fit. The stockers are relegated to winter use. I'm not going to put super wide tires on. 215/45R17s are probably as big as I go once the summers that came on it wear out.
Anyone know the skinny on hub centric rings and lugs to make these fit? I've never not bought wheels from Tire Rack, so sourcing them is a bit new to me. The Motegi site doesn't seem to say if they're conical seat. Based on what I read, it seems like I'll need 72.6mm to 66.5mm rings. I do see that Tire Rack supplied lugs too, if you order them for a F56 MCS, which I take to be an indication that the stock lugs won't work.
but none to 66.5mm... Is .1mm too big a problem...or .04mm too small? I know I've had lots of aftermarket wheels on cars in my life, and they've all had rings, but I've never had to source or fit them myself. I definitely like the nylon (or maybe delrin or polycarb?) ones I've had for ease of installation and lack of issues getting stuck, but I've also had some very nicely fitting aluminum ones. Any advice would be helpful.
if you're concerned, i believe you can reach out to tirerack and they can tell you exactly what they use and worst case, you can order rings from tirerack (i believe you can email them). alex@tirerack.com has been VERY helpful with me on all my mini orders.
Since it looks like I may be the only one with these wheels on his car so far, my setup (225 Pilot Super Sports on the 7" wide Motegis) was perfectly fine on the track.
Grip for daaaaaaays, no issue with sidewall flex, and more comfortable on the ride home. They're in my garage right now, waiting for my next track day...
As has been stated before, 8" wheels are overkill for this car on the track... extra weight for little (if any) benefit.
And if you buy them from TireRack, they ship with the rings and lugs for proper fitment.
