When do you hear the knocking noise? You think it's the rear sway bar bushing, image below? If so, view this article here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm. Be sure to check over all your other bushings for any signs of wear.

Do a quick Google search and search on the forum here as I believe there are a few threads around about individuals stating they lower the front subframe a little bit to gain access to the front sway bar bushings instead of removing the subframe completely.
For visuals, we do have info for the R56 and the subframe removal here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...me_Removal.htm. It might help with slightly lowering it as well.

I would just just a box end and or ratchet wrench to remove the bolts for the sway bar brackets on both sides, then just slide the bushings off and replace.
We keep the bushings in stock
