Passenger engine mount failed or ok?

The Googles have failed to provide a good view on what the proper height is for a good OEM mount. Right now mine has the square rubber just barely off the housing - not actually resting on it but pushing down a little will seat it. No fluid anywhere but perhaps it got cleaned away by the prior owner or was just a slow drip.

Can anyone chime in if this looks definitely failed, marginal, or OK?

Looks OK to me; in my experience as long as it is not leaking don't mess with it.

My immediate thought was, "That's crushed." But them I looked at it a little more and it looks OK. Combined with the fact that it is not leaking any fluid, I'd leave it alone for now.

I wouldn't be too concerned with that little shorter look as the new one will look like that shortly after install too.
If it's not leaking I'd stick with it till it does cause eventually it will.

Thanks Way and others, I was worried because of what Derek alluded to - pics are mostly of unmounted parts and show a large gap. Wasn't sure of the squish distance. If it doesn't look clearly wrong, I'll let it be for now.

When they fail you have what looks like at least a quart of black oily goo come out and not necessarily all at the same time. Of course there is not that much in the thing.
