I work in the lighting industry so I thought it would be a cool detail, I put clients in the car sometimes. Thought it would be a neat feature.
Sucks about the rear doors, guess they had to cost cut it a bit.
Just to confirm, you can turn it off?
I'd love some pics if you guys get a chance.

I have the fiber alloy illuminated and it only gives a single color at a time, unlike the version pictured that does two colors at a time. Mine has a herringbone design in the front door trim. The rear door trim doesn't illuminate.

Photos of fiber alloy trim.
The only thing I don't like about it is that the herringbone pattern is repeated (but not lit) on the main dash trim. Combine the herringbone with the tartan pattern at the bottom of the various bins, and the diamond pattern on the seats, and it's just too many patterns.

But like previously mentioned, it will turn off all the interior lights and makes everything too dark IMO

One thing to keep in mind with illuminated trim, if you want Chesterfield Blue seats, and one of the illuminated trims, the seats will slightly override the trim. I was disappointed with my car which I ordered with fiber alloy and Chesterfield. The trim in the door is still illuminated, however it is a silver painted plastic trim. Not fiber alloy. The dash still has the alloy, and it looks great. And I'd order it the same way again if given the choice. The seats are so amazing, it far outweighs the loss of the fiber alloy trim on the doors.

Illuminated door trim and IP on F54 or other models
I am trying to find a part number or numbers for the door trim components that are used on trim levels with the ambient lighting.
I want to know what the trim piece(s) look like when they are off of a door and also what does the light guide/pipe and LED look like.
It has been very difficult identifying what vehicle has this.
I did find one model that seemed to have both the Door Lighting and the IP lighting (by the glove box and start/stop button), the VIN is WMWLU5C50J2G02537.
Can anyone help with either part numbers and/or pictures of the components?

Thanks to all who contributed to this thread, as I was going back & forth between the Union Jack illuminated dash and fiber alloy for my 2019 JCW build. The pics here are a big help.
Have there been any significant changes to the fiber alloy surface or lighting since 2017?

Do you have a part number or information to purchase this?
