OK we all own MINIs but what's your second car?

Second car
My second car is an Audi A7. It may sound crazy, but my wife and I always take my MINI F56S on trips, some over 4000 miles. My '15F56S is a great touring car for two people. Endless space for luggage. I have a lot of back issues and the JCW cloth seats are very comfortable for me.
At 65yo I have many memories of cars I have owned in the past( Corvette, Porsches, BMW's to name a few). My current MINI is fairly quick compared to these past cars, but with all the modern stuff including much less maintenance.

HaHa! Great question.
I've been driving the WRX more . . . because it's new to me, and I'm getting used to it. I think once the newness wears off it will be closer to 50:50.
I like them both for different reasons. Plus it's interesting to have two vehicles that are boosted by different means.

My twin brother and I share all of our cars. So every other day I drive the Mini and a 1999 Oldsmobile 88 that is in just about perfect condition.
In the summer time the 1962 Austin Healey Sprite gets broken out. It is almost 100% stock including the positive ground Lucas electrics. It gets driven a lot and makes a better sound than 99% of cars on the road today.
There is also the extreme project car. A 1999 BMW 328is with a rotary valve engine head conversion.

What generation is the 328?
In my opinion, the e36 328 is the best sounding stock vehicle to ever be put into production. I prefer the 328's sound over the M3 evening, just has a bit more high pitched snarl to it as opposed to the grunt of the M3.

I have an E92 and I can't seem to part with it. I prefer coupes to sedan almost 100% of the time. The Z is an E89 and the 535 is an F10.

I had an e39 M5 before I bought the Mini. I have an e36 328is as a project car. Also I have had a lot of wheel time behind both e38 740iLs that my parents have had. All great cars.

All very nice. I have had quite a few opportunities in an e92 M3, they are amazing vehicles.

Hey CXRK,
You have a great stable of purebreds!
It takes me back to the sixties when I was a youngster, going to school in Germany, I owned a 1962 (assembled that year) Lotus two door coupe, with Coventry Climax engine, with a single overhead cam four and twin two barrel side draft Webers, four speed trans, which I drove to school 30 miles each way on the Autobahn (which back then had no speed limits).
Engine bay:
Mine was red and left hand drive (continental model) Sadly I have no pictures of mine anymore.
I have also owned a host of other autos, but am content with several Minis and a 2013 F150 with 3.5 twin turbo now.
I buy fix, and sell Minis (mostly 2002 to 2010) and have eight right now. As an old retired guy, I got bored with retired life!
Again, you have a bunch of nice autos

The Elite is beautiful design! Ironically was attendance at a party last fall and the host had an Elite race car in his garage...Among other choice selections.
Too bad you no longer have any images today. Would have enjoyed seeing it. Good luck with enjoying your retirement with the MINI adventure!
