BOTH FILMS INSTALLED.

GOT THE YELLOW FILMS FOR THE RALLY LIGHTS FRIDAY, GOT THEM INSTALLED TODAY AT A FRIENDS PLACE. THE FILM IS 12mm THICK TO PRETECT THEM FROM ROCK CHIPS AND BREAKAGE. PLUS THEY LOOK SUPER DUPER!

PS. They have them in clear too, or pretty much any other color you like.

Looks great was thinking about just doing my fogs and the rally lights as well when i get them think it would look awesome on my red countryman with black lights. Have you gotten a chance to try them at night?

Tested

Yes. They look great and work great at night too. I love that during the day they r more noticeable too. They are from lamin-x.com and were super easy to install. The film is quite thick, so will protect nicely too.

Id love to see someone get this to work on the stock foglights in the lower bumper. I tried with a thick yellow film and couldnt get the film to sit right since the lens is so bulbous, makes it extremely difficult to apply correctly without big bubbles or creases

^ good point the dome is probably to much and i could see it creasing. That prompted me to look at the various spray tints and i found this. Wonder how good it works....provides no protection from rocks but color wise should work

I'm going to try this next week having ordered some lamin-x film. I was thinking of removing the fog lights, placing them upright and using a heat gun carefully when applying the film.

Removing them would probably allow you to do it and make it look good. I did try a heat gun but it was just a huge pain to work with when they were mounted in the bumper. Make sure you post an update. I think Ive read they are kind of a pain to remove as well.

Appreciate the links JPMM but I immediately notice your fogs are practically flat which helps tremendously in this process. The stock fogs on an R60 are pretty much half spheres which make it much more tricky to install and look good

Had similar issue putting films on my SX4 Headlights. Brought them to a tint guy and he heated them with a heat gun and got them to sit perfectly.
