Added painted GP front upper grille to finish off the body kit. Vinyl wrapped 3 center grille slats with gloss black vinyl, installed a vintage M7 scoop in gloss black, added a silver GP scoop decal, topped with set of new/old stock
pure silver side mirror covers that were take offs in 2002...
Nice job... you need to pull that puppy out into the light and let us see it from more angles. Just one picture? Need way more!
Foot well control module or Foot well relay module depending who you talk to. Mine started killing my battery so I replaced the battery thinking it was bad (wasn't) then everything went completely nuts.
Thanks, yes we do! They still have the same part number they just updated it with the 2008+ JCW updated logo design. I have one of the old design logos also. You can see it in that thread. Yea, they have no logo or the newer jcw logo.
Getting both windows and a tie rod (seized adjustment threads) replaced.
Living in upstate NY I deal with rusted everything. Here's something I found that works to keep tie rods from seizing up. I loosen the bolt that holds the tie rod tight, spray some oil into the slot in the tie rod where the treads are, and coat the slot/threads with anti seize. With a couple of wrenches turn the tie rod adjuster a half turn one way, then a full turn the other way and back a half turn to work the anti seize into the thread. As long as you end up where you started, your alignment will still be good. And the tie rod won't seize up.
For me, today was replace a brake caliper and do an oil change; Motul 5-40, which I haven't used before. I also plan to have Blackstone test the oil to see how hard the turbo and being out on the track are on the oil.
In the winter I appreciate the potential safety and convenience of runflats. I don't even want to think about dealing with a flat in freezing rain and blowing snow. In the summer though.... dropping 8 lbs per corner between rims and non-RF rubber - wow, every spring the revelation anew of how much zippier Tess is with summer shoes!
Replaced the serpentine belt in just over an hour. 126200 miles and no history of it ever being replaced. I've driven it for 16K and decided now's the time. It was pretty cracked & brittle. The little tool from ebay was just the ticket!
Ordered strut mounts, new Bilstein B4s and drew up a template for a strut plate protector. Just need to pick up some 1/8" plate and spend a few minutes w/ the plasma torch.
I sadly burned out my stock turbo this last weekend racing. However I had already talked myself into upgrading it last month with a K04 GT Dominator. Bummer is i'm going to miss my race at COTA before it will get here
