New (Very Excited!!!) R50 Owner

Just picked up a used British Racing Green R50 for cheap with 128K on it.

so far so good, I love working on things and I bought this mini knowing it had lots of little bugs that need ironing out, but the motor runs good, the tranny shifts great. I feel like I got a great deal.

Even with the bad lower control arm bushings this is the best handling car I've ever driven, and i've owned an EJ8 Civic, a DSM, and drive an NA Miata quite a bit.

I'm so excited to learn from you folks and share info.

I'm in the Birmingham Al, Area and looking for other Mini owners to connect with.

Here is a Pic of my new to Me Mini,

Here it is when it was traded in 4 years ago at a local ford dealer, before the P/O to me got it.

Crazy Huh?

Welcome to NAM.

There are over 70,000 posts in the Gen1 section so you should find lots of information on your R50 between the threads, the members and the vendors.

Congrats looks great.
Kinda like that stripe it's got.

We are just in Atlanta if need anything.

Also make sure you use the powerflex bushings for the control arms as you won't need to replace them again they are the best.

Actually, I could really use some 2002 to 07/2004 tail light bulb sockets, i can only find them new online and i'm not willing to pay 85 dollars for bulb sockets so I can use by 100 dollar after market tail lights.
(I Bought the wrong tail lights)

But I got new Headlights too and they Fit!

new projector headlights.
