Headlight washer issue
Hi Friends,
I have an issue that keeps coming up and am hoping there is an answer to keep them (the chrome covers) from falling off. I have replaced one right side and two lefts. Is there anything I can do to insure they will not drop off? Got any good ideas?
I think the sprayers are a total waste of time even being there, but it is what it is!

I pulled the fuse, got the head up just a little and then put some clear silicone under-it. If I lived where there was snow and drove the car in the winter, the headlight washers would be great, but in NC do not need. You get 2" of white stuff here and the State basically shuts down.
Thanks

Did you check the cover clips and the jets themselves to see if the clips or jet clip in it broken? That way they dont fall off.

I have owned other cars with headlight washers and all have been a useless waste of time to me.
Thanks for your tip though.

I bought mine with the drivers side broken and I didn't even realize it. But I don't care as I agree with you they are a useless option even up here where we get snow. I've had a bunch of Mercedes and Porsche with them and I don't really see the value. I will do the same and take out the fuse and silicone...that's a good idea!.

I've actually been thinking of repurposing the washer reservoir as a water/methanol tank myself! It's already seperate from windshield washer fluid, which is nice because I'd be able to retain the windshield washing function.
That, or add some soap and use the washers as bubble blowers...
