Seats upgraded - R50

I've been searching craigslist for some time, and came up with a set of seats from a 2007. Got both seats for $240, which I felt was a fair price. Got home and ripped into it. Must say, the seats are a huge improvement over the stock seats that were in the 2003. I think I'm going to go see if I can purchase the rear seats too.

That style of leather seats were originally an $1800 option.

Rear seats from the 2007 probably won't fit your R50.

Theres a thread on putting R56 seats in a R53. R56 puts all the wiring into one plug (airbag, occupancy sensor, heated seats ....) versus multiple plugs on R53 so you need to repin. The rear seat fits but if I remember from the thread right you have to enlarge a mounting hole. I just bought a set of the English Panther leather seats and put them into one of my cars. These were an option on 2005=2006 cars and I think basically the same seats as the lounge leather seats

Yeah, I've read you have to enlarge the hole as well. Guess we'll see. It's not like we use the back seat, but wouldn't mind them all matching.

I just put R56 ( I think 2010) seats into my 03 R50. Not a big deal. Front seats drop right in; you do need to rewire airbag switch. 2 wires, not difficult. The rears are easy. You do have to enlarge the mounting hole on the side.
