Electrical R56 - A/C Compressor Relay

Lex2008, the pictures you posted... Is that easily accessible? And if so? where might I look? I don't want to endure another hot Texas summer. I was told I needed my junction box replaced but I only started having issues after I took it to that same shop that later diagnosed the issue for me.

The yellow and black connector sits on a metal bracket attached to the AC compressor. Take it off and then move it around and see if the compressor clutch engages and disengages. (make sure the AC button is ON in the car).
Check that yellow connection before you spend money on the junction box.

I'm having some issues with my AC. I just had it re-gassed at the shop and it is holding tight, but the compressor will not engage. I checked the AC computer and there are no reported errors.
I can read the AC compressor status with the diagnostic tool. It always shows 'AC Compressor not operating'. When I press the AC button the status on shown on the diagnostic tool changes to 'ac-compressor operating' but only while I hold the button. As soon as I release the AC button it returns back to 'not operating'. At no point does the compressor engage.
I've checked the connector at the compressor and there is no voltage on the plug. If I use a battery I can force the AC compressor clutch to kick on, so I know the clutch is okay, if it receives a signal.
Can anybody point me to a wiring diagram for the AC system? I want to know where the wire feeding the AC compressor clutch goes. At this point I've no idea if the wire is broken or the relay is broken or anything else. Does the wire trace directly back to the relay box in the kick panel? If so, which plug and pins?
Thanks so much for any tips!

Can anybody tell me what connector is supposed to go here? I note on this thread it is occupied, but in my car is wasn't.
I'm pretty sure somebody has been in here messing about before me, as the radio antenna was disconnected.

Does the sticker on the inside of the access panel not tell you which one is the AC clutch relay?
I can check my Mini tonight and load a pic to see if youre missing a relay. Ill check the Bentley manual as well.
I dont now why AllData has so many relays listed for the AC clutch.
That white wire looks a little damaged where it enters the plug, am I wrong?

The white wire for the AC clutch is not damaged.

Thought I thought that before I dig deeper in the electronics I would try forcing the compressor on and see if the air actually gets cold.
I used an 11v drill battery to make the compressor clutch engage. I can't actually see if the clutch engages, but I can clearly hear it click and the rotational sound also changes a little. Clutch coil resistance measures 5 ohms.
So I ran the blowers with the A.C. button on and then forced the compressor on. I didn't get cold air! Oh no!
Anything I'm missing? I now guess the pump is actually broken.

Wait....I'm totally confused. Your car is randomly missing parts and you dont know who took them out?

There is no white plug like your one has and there are fewer fuses. However I can see there are not even connectors for the fuses behind the plastic so I don't think it was ever meant to have them. I wonder if the white connector is something to do with the auto gearbox. Mine is manual.
