Adding power folding mirrors

Tried searching for the part number for the power folding mirrors and switch but not having much luck. Anyone have a site for searching for parts to retrofit? I tried realoem, but didn't find any thing.

Thanks,
Tim

Now to find the switch. That seems to be a little more elusive.

You guys are as bad as Abbott and Costello! Or Penn and Teller! Tom and Jerry?

Anyway, a couple of more questions on this if anyone has anything other than Itchy and Scratchy here. :-D

Found a good price difference in mirrors. One says Genuine Mini ($375), the other Genuine BMW ($272), both the same part #. I assume that means they are interchangeable? https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/51167401098/

It was a duplicate error on the site, the BMW price was wrong. It's a Genuine MINI only part. If you see them let me know.

" 8675309 " Not a Genuine MINI part but could be only the manufacturer part number... https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/8675309/ ... no luck there

The power folding mirrors have 3 pins and the normal have 5, so it would also be a matter of modifying the wire harness, which is something I have been trying to figure out.

Any luck? Interested in doing the same retrofit on my 2015 F55. Bought it used a few days ago, and it's missing this option. Don't really care other than the fact that without power folding, the vehicle will not tilt the passenger mirror when in reverse ... kind of annoying as all my otehr BMWs have this ... but the MINI doesn't ... so missing the function sorely when reversing in the MINI

I'm stuck too, I have the mirrors and the new switch buttons.
You can code the tilt with Carly app or Bimmersomething on your BMW's if it's an issue for you

i already use ESYS and have extensively coded the f55, however with the tilt already coded it isn’t working. I will go back and compare the coding from my f85 to the f55 to see if additional codes need to be changed beyond the standard, which is already coded.

Was anyone able to get this working? I am curious about buying the parts and installing, I have the little mini projector in my driver mirror so id assume the wiring is all there to do the power folding, just would hate to buy the parts install them and not be able to get them to work

Best thing to do would be removing a mirror to see how many pins it has and then removing the connect that goes to the driver switch where you control the mirrors, that way we can see what wiring is there.

I had the 5 pin one which is the manual folding and just had to make some modifications to make the power folding ones work!

that’s super useful information thank you so much! I’ll check that out tonight. Just need the mirrors and the switch right? So long as the wiring is there. What modifications did you have to make?

That is correct! I had to cut 2 wires and solder them to other wires. It was not too bad!
