My Daughter wrecked her 2006 R52 S - Convertible last night. Its the fairly rare Purple Haze Metallic color. I don't think I'm turning it into the insurance and will just part it out. The engine does run but the oil pan took a hit from a tree stump so I wouldnt even consider putting it into a car without checking the bearings and obviously a new oil pan, the 6 speed I think is toast as well. Supercharger and other ancillary parts are ok. Soft top and motor are in great condition, new tires installed about 2 weeks ago, doors, deck lid, side panels all good. Bonnet is damaged but probably serviceable. I will consider selling the whole car or parts, I would rather you take them off then me as I'm still pretty pi$$ed, car is located in Jackson, Michgan. UPDATE: We are going to turn the car into the insurance, it will be totaled and I will have an option to buy it back. I would certainly like to see the good parts go to those that need them instead of rotting in a junk yard so if the buy back isn't ridicules I will do so.

Can you snap and post more detail pics? Front, interior, under bonnet would be great so we can see parts and condition.

 

Interested in some parts maybe as I have an '05 R52 S. What are those round sockets in the rear bumper area?

 

Those are the sport link. There are accessories like bike racks and hitches that can attache to them as needed.
***If you get the sport link ask for the bumper inserts as well so you don't have to cut yours.***

Pull the front r52 cabrio braces under the bonnet before you turn it in, Ill buy them.. its simple easy part to take off.

Sorry everyone, work has been a bear and I finally got around to dealing with the insurance company. This is my dilemma I really don't have time to pull the major components off the car, but I would like it to be a donor for all of you. Is there anyone wanting to buy the car as is and part it out ? The buy back is $1,500 so selling the supercharger and power top, pretty much gets you even and then all the other stuff should at a minimum double your money if you have the time to pull it apart.

I need to talk with the wife but she's not going to want it to sit around any longer than it already has and I probably need to let the insurance company know next week.

What condition is the rear beltline trim in?
