Wow! After the longwinded exploration of "dropping unsprung weight" you now want wheels that weigh 25.4 lb. With tire each wheel approaches 50 pounds. What rationales are behind your final choice? The benefits of low unsprung weights are too overrated?

I hear ya... and I'm still pursuing the lbs.
For My Nephews grad present R53 ... mostly stock but want 'cool factor" and the R109's have that for him.
He's put in a lot of hard work in high school, done a lot of volunteer work for the comunnity, got a scholarship and doesn't complain... plus has a job.
He's driving around in a rusted out mini van right now... so a bit of a cool car is in order... I'm not at all a wealthy guy... but would like this to be something he really likes... He's always liked the minis !
So, its a whole different car than my ideal ! ... It will get some FSD's and stock springs and stock ride height.... No RFT's... an uprated rear bar and it should handle really, really well. If it were me, I'd run 16's on there.
I remain a firm believer in unsprung weight benefits
