Yep, 7:15 at the ferris wheel. We will meet up with the snowballing caravans from LA and the IE at about 7:45 as they approach and pass through the Y. This really ought to be a sight to behold.

I'm in Norwalk. Don't know of anyone near me so I'm heading down to South OC for the meetup.

Some of us are meeting here and then we will meet up with the oc group. This is going to be GREAT !
Super K-Mart is located at 500 Carson Town Center. To get there you take the 110 Harbor Fwy SOUTH from the 405. Take the first exit as soon as you get on the 110 South. Should be Torrance Blvd. The off-ramp dumps you on to Hamilton Ave. Take a LEFT on Hamilton and then another LEFT at the first light, which is Torrance Blvd. You'll be going EAST on Torrance under the 110 Fwy. Super K-Mart will be on your right at Torrance Blvd and Carson Town Center.
Anyone who wants to caravan from the South Bay, let's meet here in time to leave by 7:15 a.m.

Foodies
Cafe 101 would be great. There are several great, and expensive, eateries in Carlsbad and Oceanside, as well as In N Out. Parking may be an issue no matter where we end up. Oceanside does have the big parking lots at and near the Metrolink station and one large lot with 2 hour parking closer to the center of town.

Important Update
From SCMM:
. . . received a call from Camp Pendleton this morning letting me know that they are expecting us on Sunday AND to tell me that ALL cars must check in at the Main Gate in order to get a day pass on to the base.
You MUST show your DRIVERS LICENSE, PROOF OF INSURANCE, and REGISTRATION at the main gate.
Please don't leave home without these items on Sunday -

This event turned out pretty good. We had close to sixty MINIs (including a couple of classics) show up.
Got to see a lot friends from SCMM and West Coast MINIs and new faces, including the road-searing Diablito.
The marines gawked at our parade of clown cars while appreciative of the SoCal MINI community's generosity.
Here are a few pics . . .
Caravaning to USMC Camp Pendelton along U.S. 101 Southern San Diego County
U.S. Marine checking out the MINIs
MINIacs checking out the hardware
El Diablo in the holiday spirit
From reading these forums, it's obvious that the Southern California MINI community is willing to open up their hearts (and wallets) to the less fortunate young people in our metroplex.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Looks like you guys had a fabulous turnout at Camp Pendleton.
There was another Toys for Tots going on in Los Angeles also!
At Village Coffee Roasters in Woodland Hills, we did not have anywhere near 60 MINIs.. probably around 20.. However we did have approx 40 Porsches, 20 Ferrari's, including an Enzo, 10 Lambos and a surprise guest!
I think the MINI community of Southern California should be proud of all their efforts today!!
