Toys for Tots Run to Camp Pendleton

Type: Charity/Fun Run
Meetup: 9 a.m.
Where: Park & Ride lot in Encinitas, take La Costa Ave exit off the I-5. Lot is just east of the I-5

SCMM is extending an invitation to all MINI owners in Southern California to join us in collecting and delivering toys to the Marines at Camp Pendleton in support of their annual Toys for Tots campaign.

So ask your friends and family for their support too and bring the NEW and UN-WRAPPED toys on Dec. 12. We'll leave the Park & Ride at 9:30 and caravan along the coast through the main gate at Camp Pendleton where the Marines will be waiting for us.

NOTE: Toy guns or weapons will NOT be accepted

Let's have a big turnout for this one!

it might make sense for us North Orange county people to meet somewhere around John Wayne airport and drive down to somewhere near Pendelton then join up with the group from Escondido

Another suggestion might be hooking up around the Irvine Spectrum. It's close to the 'Y' where plenty of people can hook up (North & South OC, along with those of us in LA County). What say you?

It would bring smiles to the Marines to have hundreds of Minis from all manufacturers represented.

 

Lets do this BIG !! The more the Merrier. I would love to see 100+ minis traveling to the base.

 

This is such a great cause every year. Wish we could join you because it's practically in our back yard, but we already have plans... We do have a Toys For Tots thing going at work, so I'll get the chance to donate something there..... Have a great time and of course we want to see some pictures...:smile:

where at in Irvine Spectrum and what time...i will try to be there..

 

We can meet and greet at the ferris wheel, 7:15 and depart by 7:45. The LA, IE and North OC contingents can meet us there or reach us on the two way radios as they approach the Y. :smile:

 

Excellent suggestion. I am sure many LA, OC, Inland Empire Mini owners would love to participate and caravan down south...

Anyone out there planning to come that hasnt chimed in yet? I just want to get an idea of what to expect, the more the merrier !!

Let hook these kids of with some stuff and enjoy a drive with all the other Mini owners.

Looking foreward to meeting some NAM members on the run.

I will be coming from LA so hopefully we can meet up with the OC caravan and travel in a big pack to the official meeting point. ( not like the VW ghuys did )

Perfect timing- my wife has been asking me to find some other MINIs for "her" new MCC to hang out with.

FYI Target has a sale on Tonka Dump Truck for just under $8.00, this is a good price and they make excellent gifts.
