Here's some close up movie of Jerry, Karen and some others while working on the slalom section. I left my digital camera at the last cone and prayed you guys didn't hit it. So here are some clips I put together of close shots in motion. I think Jerry and Karen was the closest to my camera, watch their wheels!

Awesome shots Hollis - great seeing you and everyone else...
Special thanks to Chip and Jacque for setting up the after event dinner.
Wow!! was Saturday fun or what!!
What a long day... Living three counties away (Ventura) made for a very, very long day.
It was fun. I have respect for those that placed higher than I. Particularly those that beat me by several seconds... You guys make it look so easy, but I know it is skill that is doing that, and I know how hard it is. (hit the windshield wiper on my last run during a shift!!) Currently I don't know how your doing it... but I will figure it out sooner or later!!
I personally liked the course, but it was challenging to hold the right line for some of the many late apexs. The MINI's were well represented being 18% of the 110 cars that participated...
Can't wait til the autocross.

Glad you had fun, enjoyed the food and made it home okay. Hopefully you'll make it down in November.

I had a great time yesterday, it was great meeting some SD guys for the first time.
Hats off to Dave Bunting for the time he got, despite collecting 2 cones, it was an amazing time for "just a cooper".
Another very skilled driver was Joe (curv782), who WITH RUNFLATS whooped slick and r-compound equiped MINIs.
And last but not least, the prize of the day goes to Jacques, who seriously has mad skills and the ***** to go with them. THis was his first autocross, FIRST AUTOCROSS, and on STREET TIRES, issued a beat down to all but 2 MINIs. Respect and big hats off to you, Jacques.
On behalf of the MININUTS I was pleased to award Jacques the Perpetual MININUTS Spanking Paddle trophy......
I caught him using it in the parking lot 5 minutes later...

It was fantastic to see so many MINIs out on the course and in the Qualcomm parking lot! I'm sorry I didn't get around to meeting all of you, but it was great to chat with those of you I did see.
I look forward to catching up with ya'll at other SoCal events... or at AMVIV (yes, I'm already getting excited ).

By the way, there was actually 22 Minis at this event. Steve (Supergimp) was listed in the Beginner class and Mike (MJO) was listed in the X class for some reason. I am sure Dave will update the info once the BMWCCA SD posts the complete results.
But to summerize the Minis represented a full 20% of the cars that showed. Good job to all. Let's keep it going.
