October 22nd | Hollywood Park BMWCCA Auto-x
Los Angeles BMWCCA Autocross
October 22nd at Hollywood Park
You must be a BMWCCA member ($40 and totally worth it for the Roundel magazine and the chapter newsletters).
LOCATION: Hollywood Park in Inglewood
The entrance is at Gate 1 and the pit area will be to your left just past the gate.
Cost: $65
TIMES: Gates open at 6 AM. Registration starts at 7 AM and is FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. Registration continues until 7:45 or until the 80 car limit is met.
CLASSING:
There are now two MINI Cooper based classes (stock and modified). Based on the current L.A. Chapter BMWCCA classing standards for stock and modified:
- MC and MCS with struts, any wheels, any street tire (wear rating above 14), and intake/cat-back exhaust would be "MINI Stock"
- MC and MCS with anything else (rear sway, ECU, race tires, springs, front and/or rear camber, supercharger pulley, weight reduction, chassis stiffening, etc.) would be "MINI Modified"
In an attempt to try to boost the number of Coopers (non-s) that drive in the autocross here's my offer: For the first two MC owners that have not autocrossed before, I will pay for your helmet rental if you don't already have a helmet.
List of MINI owners indicating they will attend so far

40 and a wake up!
P.S. By the way. Team Polyak (Little Egg and I) will be representing Team Justacooper for this event. It's time to let Egguinn show what he's got again.

You can definitely come out to spectate.
The first car out on course will be around 9:30 AM and they should run continuously until about 5:30 PM. The MINIs will be split up into each of the run groups, so there should always be a MINI in a group that is running the course, and MINI owners in the pit area relaxing and getting ready for the next time out on course.
We usually set up a MINI area in the pits and try to hang out together, so it should be pretty clear where we're at. Please come up and introduce yourself.

In any case it's fun to watch. I couldn't stay the whole day and compete (so close... had my new membership e-mail and everything ready! ) in SD, but we packed the family into the MINI and drove down to watch for half the day. It's a lot of fun.
And you don't need a membership to come and spectate.
