I am trying to determine how to bring a wire through the firewall from the engine compartment to the interior. It is for a ham radio antenna, a small 2 meter mag mount on the cowl. It has a BNC connector which is abut 3/8" in diameter so a large hole would help but I can cut the connetor and reinstall.
Thanks for any thoughts.

I just put 6 wires through for my gauges. If you remove the panel below the steering column and also the left grille on the cowl you will see a large grommet in the firewall where a large group of wires go through.I took a razor knife and cut a slot in the side of that grommet and pushed the wires through.

A bit late so you've probably already done it but if the above does not work then another option (used by the Moss MINI lights for example) is to bring it up near the gearshift linkage by the mirror/seat heater controls. The instructions for installing the Moss MINI lights tells you what to take apart to put it through there.

Hotelcalif.......Were you installing the auxillary gauges to fit under the toggle switches? If so, did you have to disconnect the battery to make the connections? Also, how long did the installation take?

I installed the gauges on the tach with the Alta gauge pod.I used a Voltmeter and oil pressure gauge.I did not undo the battery while installing these.I found a place to just plug in for the volt gauge.Currently waiting on the canister with fitting from R-Speed.

I Installed a light switch by punching a hole through the gromet next to the steering wheel. I used a LONG screwdriver, then feed the wire through with steel wire. Worked great!

good luck.
