MINI Barbeque & Dipstick
Hey guys,
I went to a MINI barbeque over the weekend at Mainline MINI and it was cool, and I found that my MINI was 2.5 quarts low on oil. I was not aware that MINIs typically burn half a quart of oil per month according to the service techs. They also showed me how to change my cabin air filter and read the dipstick. Incidentally, they had a hard time reading the dipstick.
Peace.

I guess they don't know about my technique. Once I figured it out, it's been easy. (Keep the stick vertical with the tip still in the tube and look down it and you can see the different shades on the rings (on the R56, that is). If that doesn't help you, use the paper towel method: Press paper towel flat against the stick. "Read" the line on the paper towel. The full and add nodes appear as blobs of oil on the paper towel.).
