Just checked this thread due to the windshield noise I must stand at speeds over 140 km/h (in my country, Germany, this is not speeding!). Originally, I thought it came from the tyres but then saw this thread and made the *push behind the mirror* test. I don't need to mention it was positive.

Since my warranty (only 2 years in Germany) already expired I have to either pay for it, fix it on my own or blame MINI with good arguments.

Firstly, the video is gone! Does anybody have a new link?

Secondly, what's involved in the easy fix that is mentioned in Puma? My dealer trusts me in that it's the windshield but likes to re-glue it entirely, what will cost me some hundred Euros for no reason when there's an easier fix.

 

My two hardtop MINIs sans sunroof, have not whistled or howled. But some of the MINI loaners, I have had with sunroof have whistled at perfectly legal highway speeds. I have had 8 or 9 different MINIs during my 15 service visits over the last three years.

 

I had also some whistling at high speeds when I got the car more than two years ago. However, this was an easy fix for them and required just some adjustment of the sunroof.

What I'm talkin about is not whistling, it really is howling! People really ask me whether they are supposed to feel safe in my car
