Sold car, new owner has lots of problems?
The day after the woman bought my mini, she said it started running really rough, stalled out, and wouldnt start. They thought at first ignition coil, but according to her, they said it was a broken valve. Now cylinder head comes to mind. Ok, she then tells me after they fixed it, the radiator exploded. So my best guess is that something happened to the cylinder head, one of the valves, what I dont know. They replaced the valve or the head, and forgot to tighten down a hose clamp entirely. Any thoughts? This is so weird because this car was my baby, and I never had a single problem with it. The day she gets it, all hell breaks loose. Is it possible she missed a gear and over-reved the motor, or is this just bad timing, or what? Christine is definetely coming to mind.

"Caveat emptor"... It's not your concern or responsibility anymore, BUT I think it's noble that you're willing to help in some way.
She would have had to mechanically over-rev the motor (jamming it into 2nd instead of 4th at 80 mph, for example) since the rev-limiter would typically protect that from happening. *If* that happened, she'd surely know she did it, as it's not a pleasant experience.
Or perhaps your car is just pissed off that you got rid of it...

It had like 300 miles left on the UK warranty, and 14,000 on the US warranty when I sold it, so she should be ok. Its just weird, and I feel bad because I`m sure now shes like great I bought a lemon, and will always be wondering whats going to break next.
The flip side was her attitude. Like maybe she did something she shouldnt have and doesnt want to say anything? She seemed very oh well, it happens. This is sadder to me, than the one that I saw that had been repo'd.

my old MC started to act up when it was in the hands of its new owner. i gave her "the talk" and everything before delivering her, but i feel like she's still pissed at me for selling her
at least your Mini's still under warranty. we have no dealer here in the philippines to run to for problems, just reputable shops & texting between fellow Mini owners to ask for help
