I WENT OUT TO START MY MINI AND ONCE ALL THE SYSTEM CHECKS WERE COMPLETED MY RED BRAKE SENSOR, ABS SENSOR AND DSC SENSOR LIGHTS ALL STAYED ON.. HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO ANYONE..? IF SO CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT. THANKS VERY MUCH...
Is your TPS light on also? If so, it almost positively a wheel sensor. Still might be w/o the TPS light. From another thread, this seems to happen just after the car is washed or otherwise wet. Are you still under warranty?
I just got out from the dealer with the same problem. The entire ABS unit must be replace. Part Number 34-51-6-765-283. Dealer wants $2,458. I found a used one on ebay for less than $400.
I had the ABS light go off on my a Integra GS-R. Basically I fooled the system into thinking the ABS was faulty by stopping on top of a manhole cover. The cover slipped with the wheel and the ABS got confused in this state. So it shut itself off, I turned off the engine and restarted and the light went off. I only know this to be the case because from that day on, I manage to hit the same manhole cover just to see if I could get the ABS light to go off. Most of the time I could. So it's not always a faulty sensor.
I've had the TPMS and DSC light pop on for no good reason many times on my '05 MCS manual... Usually the engine is cold and the weather is damp. Once warmed up, even on the highway while moving at 60 mph, I'll push in the clutch, shut the engine down and restart and the lights go out.
