White Rims.

I'va had my MCS IB/W for about 3 months now and the only major annoyance is the fact my car had white rims, bright white. Wow, are they dirty

The previous owner had scrubbed them so hard it left brush marks all over the rims, between the spokes & all over the face of the spokes. Also road grime and tar makes them look very spotty. I tried scrubbing them with everything, I was literally about to give up on these dirty items.

Yet, today i scrubbed them with the "MR. CLEAN MAGIC ERASER" . Holy wow, it took every thing off, everything...they look brand new, sparkling in fact.

I hope this helps someone.

If you put some Kleen Wheels brake covers on you won't have to clean the wheels every other day. I also have white wheels and love the look but got tired of cleaning them so much(if you don't you have seen the results). Also once winter arrives the hose won't always be usable (frozen). So far I have seen no heat problems with the covers and they have them for a couple different models of Mini factory wheels and the have small cooling vents in them.

Good tips for those of us with white rims. Thanks!

Changing brake pads helps (I went with EBC Greenstuff, but hear that Hawk pads are even lower dust), and I use Armorall's Wheel cleaner which takes the dirt off nicely and makes them easier to clean the next time.

Yes! I've had stubborn stains on my white wheels as well. If clay doesn't do the job, then out comes Mr. Clean
