Need Your HELP

I checked the forums, and saw some issues where peoples MINIs warnings light lit up and the engine stalled out..and didnt restart.. my issue is different.

Twice now, while I was driving in Sports Mode (2006 MCSa) in heavy traffic (read: crawling) after coming off hiway speeds the engine cutoff, and the EML, Service Soon, etc... lights came on..

and both times I pulled over, and restarted the car and it worked fine..

The first time was last month, and then again yesterday morning.. ambient temperature was around 78 deg(morning) to 90deg (last month).

I took it for a long drive to Toronto from DC 2 weeks ago and travelled fine, actually the first time it did this, it reset my brake pad sensor that I had on after brake pad relpacement. I checked the Harness wire fro the ECU, looks snug, I had thought it expanded and got loose from the heat and virbrations (DC road / potholes)

Anyone with similar symptoms? I was going to call MOS today to see if they have an open slot tomorrow for checkup.

Let me know if any of you experience this?

oh my car is 2006 MCSa with 25k miles, no engine/exhaust mods
I have chrono, and gauges showed all normal too, no temp or pressure changes.. no abrupt revs or hiccups.

thats just weird, do you reset the transmission out of sport mode when u restart the car? or will it restart while in sport?

 

I reset it,

basically, I throw it back in park, and start up the car again..
Then it drives like nothing happened..

And nothing else has reset, no OBC or other things that I can tell.

Any ideas what it could be?

I called the dealer, but cant talk to anyone, I setup an appointment for the 21st (the only next avail slot).
