A few weeks ago I replaced the header and cat on my 04 Mini S. No problem. Last weekend a few of us went to the mountains. Did some pretty hard driving. During the weekend the check engine light came on and the DSC light came on and will not shut off. I went to Advance Auto and identified the following codes:

P0445 (MINI FC 1093)
P0031 (MINI FC 49)
P0037 (MINI FC 55)
P0340 ( MINI FC832)

Can any of you tell me what I need to do to fix the DSC light and the obd codes listed above? Thanks !!!!

Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circut Shorted

P0031 (MINI FC 49)
HO2s heater Control Circut Low (Bank 1 sensor 1)

P0037 (MINI FC 55)
same as above but, sensor 2

P0340 ( MINI FC832)
Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circut

I dont know where ANY of this fits into DSC

But the first 3 I have seen after installation of a header with pulled and twisted wires to the O2 sensors.
and a second time after a O2 sim was installed (different car)

Have you been modding / playing ?

I don't know how many will agree ... but unless I was in limp mode or a code for something HORRRRRABLE ... I would reset and pay close attention to conditions.
I have read and reset many codes on my car and others to NEVER have them reappear

 

I have reset the codes and they come back. I will take it to the dealer and get them to look at it. I just replaced the header but drove it for more than a week before the codes showed up.

sounds like a possible wiring harness problem
