We picked up our Pure Silver Cooper a week ago today and absolutely love the car. We noted one discrepancy between the owners manual and our car, however. The manual says that the windows can be opened as well as closed using the key in the door handle. Ours will close the windows and sunroof in this way but does not open them as discribed in the manual. Has anyone else discovered this or is ours in need of attention?

Thanks!

Joe

you can get your key programed to do that. It is done by your dealer and could be one of the questions they ask before preping your car. There are a few different things you can get the key to do. I don't have a full list but when I do I will post it. MINIQueen(her web name) a dealer in NY has been very helpful with keeping us informed.

I noticed the same thing today: my key will close the windows but it won't open them. The manual also says that you can open both windows and the sunroof by holding the door lock button (on the center console) in the "up" position. No luck with that one either.....anybody else get that one to work?
