I recently had my headlight assembly replaced under warranty by MINI of Universal. The entire assembly refused to work the other day.

Anyhoo, i picked the car up today and drove home. I turned my lights on and it turns out i have two different color lights now. One side is blue Xenon, while the other is dull yellow. I checked the bulbs to make sure they were the same and apparently they are. Keep in mind it was MINI who did the whole replacement not me.

I went back to the service department and after showing them my problem they told me that it takes a while for the xenons to warm up.

What i would like to know is if this is true and if so, how long will it take for the xenon to turn that bluish color and become white and bright like it should be? I definitely do not want to go back to the service department to fix a problem i already told them about.

not sure if it is true or not, but I have heard new bulbs need to "burn-in" also

The Xenon should be the same as the old one. They do not take long to set. Talk to your parts man (as above ) and let them get it straight.
