1-2 shift scraping noise - linkage?
Anyone else experienced a scraping noise when shifting from first to second? It only happens when cold and only for the first 2 or 3 shifts. It's definitely a linkage issue because I can feel it in the shifter handle.
Just curious if anyone has had this issue addressed at the dealer, what caused it, and what they did to correct it. Thanks

I had this issue and ended up getting a new transmission (under warranty - it was an issue with the syncros.) Do a search in the stock problems issues forum. Several people reported this.
I'd take it to your dealer sooner rather than later, and don't let them tell you it's just a break-in issue.

kimmc,
Can you describe the problem more. For me, it only happens the 1st time I shift from 1st to 2nd in cold weather. Sounds like I'm scraping the gears against the left side of the gate. I have been really easy on the car during the break in so I don't understand why this could be happening.
