Help!!! Seat Belt stuck around wheelchain in cargo area

Help, please. Hauling a wheelchair tonight, I slipped the seat belt around a wheel to hold it into place. Always worked fine before. Tonight I'm stuck with a rear seat belt (passenger side) wrapped around a wheel and I can't get slack to release the chair.

Is there a simple way to force the seatbelt to release? I'm tired of forcing a difficult way. Thanks so much, in advance.

I think you're going to have to find a way to push the belt back into the tensioner. Sounds like the tensioner engaged and is locked. You need to push it back in and then it will relax.
You know how if you tug on your seat belt really hard it will lock? Thats what happened and it's still got enough tension on it to stay locked. Make sense?

did this once

I had to remove the wheel from the wheel chair in order the pry the seatbelt off.No big problem, just pry off the plastic center cap and unbolt the wheel.

Thanks miminut, that's exactly what I did. Snap the cap, two 5/8" socket wrenches go to work and I was out of a jam. Chpsk8, thanks to you also, but there was no way to get any release from the belt.
All better now, sorry I hadn't chimed in until now.
