My speedometer seems to be off a little bit. When i reset the average MPH readout it shows a couple miles an hour less than the speedo reads. Also, when I pass digital readouts (school zones and such) it shows to be off too. Any ideas why or how to fix it? I have stock wheels and tires so I don't think its a matter of wheel size throwing it off
Actually, it is intentionally set to read an average of 5% High for liability reasons, so that there is no chance that a car will read too Low, and get the owner a ticket.
If the speedo was inaccurate and you really were going faster than it read, you could sue MINI for the mis-information that caused you to get the ticket.

Our MC reads approximately 3mph slow on both the speedo and the computer digital display when compared to a GPS or Speed Sign. I just tend to compensate for it when I'm on the highway so I'm sure I'm at least going the proper speed limit and not a few mph under.
I don't know how much it might change it, but you could check that the tire pressures are accurate for the season and see if that nudges you any closer to the correct reading. I should've done that back in November myself...

Overall wheel/tire combo will make a slight difference. I would suggest checking tire pressure more than seasonally

Tire pressure isn't going to change the circumference of the tire enough to make a difference.
As posted above... very normal.
