Funky Dash Noise when Changing Temp on Temp Gauge

Now this is weird.

If I increase the temp from say 64 to 70, I hear a really weird/funky noise from inside the dash. It starts out higher pitched at the lower temps and drops down to a low growl at the higher temps. If I take it from the upper 70s down to the 60s, it does the reverse. Lower growls up to higher pitched noises.

It sounds kinda like when you rub a finger across the surface of a balloon. Does anyone know what this madness is?

Just got it serviced for a dash rattle where they put in some padding...I didnt notice it before, but I'm not 100% sure that it's new since the service...

Thanks,
Biscuit
