Power Steering Pump leak.

My car has a P/S pump leak, or at least I think it is. I'm 120 miles from the dealer and not sure I should attempt to drive that far. I couldn't get a hold of the dealer this afternoon so I'll check with them on Mon. I'm just wondering if MINI will tow the car with that kind of problem. Any advice??

No on any noise, unless you hold the wheel over to far and than there is a growling. I'm assuming the pump is the round object located on the left side of the engine below and to the left of the S/C. That's where the oil is coming from.

Actually, no. The power steering pump is located under the car, beneath the downpipes (behind the oil drain plug).

The object you're referring to is your motor mount. They are known to fail and leak some dark oily mess.

You'll be fine driving to the dealer to have to have them fix it.

Just a follow up. I took my car to the dealer[Mini of South Atlanta] on Mon.
and they replaced the motor mount and also a sensor that was bringing on the tire,DCS and ABS lights. Ray Godman, my SA was a pleasure to work with.

Fluid Leak

My car was sitting in the garage for a couple of days because of the sudden snow fall and I noticed a large pool of blue thin oil below the engine. I opened the power steering reservoir and it was empty, it seems that the all the fluid leaked on my garage floor. I’m trying to locate the leak. It’s not from the bottom of the reservoir where the hose connects. Then I raised the car a bit and took a look at the other end of the hose and that too seemed ok. My question is where did the fluid leak from? Is it from the pump?
