Auto up window broken?

Auto up window broken?
Before I make a fool of myself at the dealership, I thought I'd ask here first:
The auto-up feature of the passenger window doesn't work anymore on our 2008 Cooper. That is, you can press and hold the switch to bring up the window, but it doesn't go up on its own anymore. Auto-down still works, and the driver side window still works without issues. Is this somehow an option I could have disabled? I couldn't find anything in the manual, but it wouldn't be the first time I missed something in there.
Thanks.

Auto-Up for PAX Side was evidently added with week 10, 2008 build cars.
I do recall Oliver Morris (my MA at Furman of Tampa Bay) asking me as he was programing my Key/fobs about Window "auto up/down" and I said "yes", but it was not until I saw the thread above that I tried it on pax side.
There is a "supplement" to the Owners Manual to cover new (or errors) in main book, but it just mentions Alarm, TPM and USB-AUDIO use.
Mine is build week 14 and it works with just a 'tap' up or down on PAX window switch.
My sunroof will 'tap' auto to the fore/aft vent position and must be held for any further adjustment.
All the windows and Sunroof will auto-close if you hold the door-lock key (the one that slides out of key/fob) to the lock position.

There are some known glitches in the window software.
Try holding both window toggles "down" until the windows are fully open.
Then switch off the ignition, switch on again and hold both toggles "up" until fully closed.
Switch off the ignition and switch it on again and with any luck auto-up and down may have been restored!
(On UK-spec cars, auto up and down only happen when the toggles are flicked and a longer hold over-rides it to give manual control - which ain't logical and is the opposite to what I'm used to - but that's BMW programmers for you!)

BMW software is the new Lucas?
Seriously though, just sounds like MINI needs to be made aware of the bug and have it fixed in an upcoming revision change. This happened MANY times with the old-gen MINI's, mainly to fix drivability issues with the R53.

Also, this is the FIRST car I've owned that had auto down but NOT auto up windows.

I would guess all BMWs made in the last 10 years have the same "problem". People who drive BMW don't care if the doors don't lock, windows don't go up, heating doesn't work, radio doesn't turn off, navigation system is terrible, etc. HEHEHEHE.

Interesting that you say this. I had heard that BMW was formed to make the best automobile with the best technology available regardless of the cost. It's apparent that they've broadened their business base (note all the models and price points), but when did they lose their foundational commitment to quality?
