Squeeky window.

Hi,
I have a squeeky window. Only on one side of the car.

It squeeks during the entire run of the window on both up and downs.

It's not the glass rubbing on the rubber seals as the squeek is there when the door is open.

Any ideas of how to rectify this?

Thanks

Try the electric assembly and the mechanical actuators and arms, they may need lubrication.

Does it do it only when it rains? My driver's side window does that if it is raining sometimes.

It does it all the time.

Well, the Mini Service centre will be looking into it when the car goes in for warranty work.

I'm sure they will fix it somehow.

Hi,
got the car back. The squeeking is gone but every time the window goes down, the external side comes back up with lubricant streaks.

I'm assuming they just lubricated the window mechanism.

My sqeek is gone........it has been quiet all week. I did drive through a light rain and since then, no noise. Must have been some residue on the inside of the door that washed off. The only other noise that comes and goes is the rattle of the rear sunroof frame, its usually quiet in the morning and starts rattling when it warms up. I can put a finger on the center of the rear frame closest to the boot and it stops. I have stufed felt and also paper under the tabs to see if that helps, but it still omes back. If I tap the frame it sounds like a tuning fork.
