Has anyone had to have their OBC completely replaced?

I took my car in for the 1 year routine maintenance service on Monday which includes a full engine diagnostic check. I was also to get my brakes replaced. When I came in to pick up the car I was told that the check engine light came on when they were bringing it up. They took it back down and found that it was an emissions code but couldnt figure out what the deal was. They kept it, ran the diagnostic again trying to find the problem but it showed nothing wrong yet it kept throwing the emissions code. Calls were put in to MINI and an engineer was dispatched to my dealer. They decided that they are going to completely replace the on-board computer. I was told that this was very unusual but then again no matter the issue with my car they always say that. So, my question is, has anyone else had to have the OBC completely replaced before?

Thats not good news, sorry to hear about your car. I just got mine back a few hours ago, so far so good. Good luck with your car, hopefully they wont keep it for as long this time!
