Inside air won't turn off

So my Gas mileage isn't doing to well. I am tryign to weed out the problems. But I have a problem with the inside arif of my car. Even after i turn it off in the center console so that it should be technically off. I am still getting alot of airflow out. In fact the lowest setting on the air is pretty much what I am getting if not more. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this normal? I have a 04 mcs by the way. Thanks for the help

Allright. Thanks for the reply. As long as I am not the only one who always has the air circulation on in their mini. It is an odd thing, that even though I turn off the Air, or air conditioning, there is still a pretty large amount of air coming through the vents.

Do you have manual or auto climate control?
Are you getting air flow even when stopped? If you don't have it on 'recir' you'll still get airflow when moving.
Shouldn't have anything to do with mileage, though.
