Hazzard light indicator?

This is probably more a sign of my deteriorating than anything wrong with the car, but I have to ask....
Is the triangle shaped light on the top of the hazzard light (4 way flashers) button supposed to stay lit all the time they car is running?
The car was in the body shop for 2 weeks after I hit a racoon ($1900/radiator/ condesor/fan & shroud)
I don't remember it being on before, but I can't say for sure, and I didn't find anything in the owners manual.
I searched the forums and found every other light, but not this one.
It does flash when I put the flashers on.

Hi Black&Gold,
Yes, the hazard light button is supposed to be on all the time when the car is on.
I think they assume that it will help you find it just-in-case.

OOO another sign....

sign of getting old! I think I'll choose to ignore it!

Thanks for looking though, and saving me another embarassing call to the service guys.
