Airbag Warning Light Problems
I started up a thread over in the Clubman Talk forum, but probably should have started it here regarding problems I've had with the aribag warning light in my new clubman...

This one is probably one of the easiest things to diagnose and fix in a car. There is little involved in this system. Airbags (which translate into a resistor), control module, impact sensors (usually mechanical) and wiring. Airbags are the most common problem, since the control module when the car is started checks for a certain amount of resistance in all of the circuits invloving an airbag, if one is off specs you have a light. Other is wiring or connectors. Then faulty module. The sensors/switches are almost trouble free until impact, and besides if one closes you would know (an airbag would blow). Also, this is all complemented with a thorough scanning!

Yep, same here. With a full grown/full adult in the passenger seat, the "passenger side airbag off" lights up . Naturally, dealer could not duplicate it, so they did nothing as usual.
